How to insert rollover images in Dreamweaver. The first thing you need to do is to prepare the images that you want to use as your rollover images. In this case I have selected some buttons and made them in Photoshop and I’ve created a normal stage and an over stage for each of the buttons I want to use, so here’s an example of those.
I’ve created them at the size that I plan to use them and I’ve made sure that each button is exactly the same size as the button that is going to be replacing in the rollover. That done I go out to Dreamweaver, actually inserting in Dreamweaver is very straightforward indeed. Put your cursor to wherever you want to them to be inserted. You go to the ‘Insert’ menu, you choose ‘Image Objects”- ‘Rollover Image’ and that brings up the ‘Insert Rollover Image’ dialog box.
The name – first thing is I’m going to replace it and I’m gonna browse for the ‘Starting point’, downsize image that. And for the over image that’s going to replace it when the users cursor is taken over the top. That’s downsize over. Let’s see the difference between the two.
