Ok, notice we’re in the ‘Advanced’ tab as well and you may start out in the basic tab and that’s a little confusing for most people so that’s why I wanted to create this tutorial to make it a little more simple to set that up.

So, for the next part we’ll go to the “Remote info” in the Category listing here and we’re going to select FTP because most sites are set up through FTP but if you use any of these other protocols, you know, feel free to use them, but for the most part people use FTP. So then we type in proxywild.info and now, I know for a fact that there is no ‘Host directory’ but in some cases you might have a directory like this where your actual files are stored but I know for a fact from what my host told me when we set up this website that its not there. This login will go straight into the web folder. So, now I’m going to type in my user name and my password.

I’m going to test it and, oh oh, this is what happens when you type in the wrong password and this is what happens when you type in the right password. Now notice that I’m also going to check “Automatically upload files to server on save” and what that does is that when you hit “Ctrl + S” or if you go to “File”, “Save” it will automatically push up your file once you are done with it and it will check to see if there is a newer version on the server and it’ll warn you but, you know, it’s a really nice tool to have if you want to make saving to an FTP server much easier. So I’m going check that off and hit ‘Ok’ and hit ‘Done’ and here’s my local folder that I made and I’m going to hit ‘Remote’ and it’ll come with this status window and notice I already have a few files in here but that’s basically how its setup.

So, that’s basically it for the site setup tutorial and, of course as always, you can visit vidtutorial.com for more tutorials like this on. Thank you.

In case you didn’t see the video in part 1 of this series… here it is again.
