When designing page layouts, a lot of time you gonna use a sketch, of a kind of an ideas, or umm.. kind of a background layout. What dreamweaver allows you to do; this is just a genius, I don’t know, why people, haven’t, had this feature for ever.
It is allied a load, at a background image, called the tracing image. So let just crate a new document. I gonna just a blank html document. And on top of this I am gonna say view, and we are going to say tracing image, load. At this point we can go in and find image that we wanna use. So let’s go up to our images directory. Ok we have interface, and I have one called PG for background. So we just load that up, and this point we can set a little bit transparency, so I will drop this down, around 58%. And there you go. Now this is not editable. Ok, and if I save this file in preview, we wouldn’t see it. It is strictly for our layout purposes.
But it’s great; because now I can drop a table, directly on top of this, get my sizes bright, just like that. And get all of the pieces ready.
