Dreamweaver Tutorial

If you choose designer, eventually your workspace will be setup as an integrated workspace, and all the document windows and panels, are contained within one big window. So this is a one big window right here.

Just minimize it as you can see it. I can move it around, but all the panels, document windows, are gonna be in this main dreamweaver window. Now unless you plan doing lot of, hand coding, I suggest to go with this arrangement. Because it makes working with multiple documents and panels much much easier. This is also closest to the default layout in Mac version of dreamweaver that you just saw.

Except that the Mac has of free floating windows, and panels aren’t contain with one big window. So am I switched back to Mac for a second? Here is the Mac and I think, see these of free floating panel groups, and can drag them anywhere I want instead of being in one big window.

As far back to our windows, so that’s window workspace designer. Now if you choose coders, you workspace will setup with all panel groups, docs to the left side of the screen, and your documents will be opened up in code v by default. So I have created a new document, instead of opening it in design view, let open with the behind the scenes code, so I can start typing the editing code right away.

But in the movies, in this tutorial I am gonna working almost entirely in the designer or the default layout. So I suggest you do the same. I will be showing you in just a few movies from now, how you can customize your workspace even after you made this neutral choice. But for now make sure say your workspace either default in Mac or designer on windows.
